I love Pakefield Beach, capturing moments with your loved ones amidst the breathtaking backdrop of Pakefield Beach in Lowestoft is an experience like no other.
There are so many different backdrops along the beach to take a variety of different images. The sand, stones, sand dunes, colourful beach huts and of course the sea itself.
I have had the pleasure of photographing Isla and her little sister Neeve a few times now and they are both such amazingly beautiful, cheeky and fun little girls. They are so relaxed in front of the camera which makes my job so much easier.
I have a very relaxed approach to my portrait sittings and love to just go with the flow and see what happens. I do like to start off your portrait sitting with a few posed images to get everyone warmed up. It gives me the opportunity to connect with the children, talk to them one on one and give them a little confidence in what we are doing.
I love to get low down and lay on the floor when photographing children. Not only does it give an interesting point of view, but it gives us the chance to be silly and capture some genuine smiles. One of the most beautiful features of Pakefield Beach is the sand dunes, they are fun to play in and make a great backdrop to these portraits... But be careful, but there can be prickly bits and the grasses can be quite sharp.. I have first hand experience!
Once the girls had warmed up to me they really started showing their personalities. It was clear to me that Neeve is the most mischevious of the pair, she just had to take some photos where she was sitting on Isla's back and pulling the funniest of faces. I will always encourage you and your family to play and be as silly as possible during your portrait sitting. Natural smiles and fun, happy memories that you will be able to look back on in years to come. Lowestoft photographer
If we have a shoot on the beach you can guarantee that we are going to get wet. I won't encourage the children to splash if you don't want them to, but if I get the go ahead we will all get wet! Isla and Neeve were more than happy to indulge me and run in and out of the waves and throwing stones as far as they could.
This is one of my favourite photos from last Summer... yes, it was Summer despite the sky.
Your children are only young for a short time, blink and you will miss it. Let them run around and have fun, splash in the sea, throw stones and create some amazing photos for you to look back in years to come.
I love to stand back and watch as you enjoy yourselves and capture moments that you didn't even know were happening.
I look forward to photographing Isla & Neeve again someday.
